Subject: Recommendation letter request — [Your name]
Dear Professor [Last name],
I hope you're doing well. I'm applying to [program / job / scholarship], and I was wondering if you'd be willing to write me a letter of recommendation.
I took your [course name] course in [semester/year] and especially appreciated [something specific you got out of it]. I've attached my resume and a short note on what I'm applying for, and the deadline is [date].
I know these take real time, so I understand completely if you're not able to. If you are, I'm happy to send any additional materials that would help.
Thank you for considering it.
Best,
[Your name]
· 「I took your [course] and appreciated [
· 「I've attached my resume」——
· 「I understand completely if you're not able to」给他一个体面的退路。
Dear Professor [Last name],
I'm applying to [program] with a deadline of [date], and I was hoping you might be willing to write me a recommendation. I was in your [course] in [year] and really valued [specific thing].
I've attached my resume — happy to send anything else that helps. No worries at all if you're not able to.
Thank you,
[Your name]
