How to Plan Your Exam Revision
A countdown alone does not tell you what to do today. This planner pairs a live countdown with a revision checklist and due dates, so you can see your progress and stay on track instead of just watching the days shrink.
- Set your exam: type the exam name and pick its date and time. The countdown starts ticking right away.
- Break the exam into revision tasks — for example, "Review slides", "Redo PSet 1-3", "Past paper 2019" — and add each one.
- Give each task a due date so you spread the work across the days you have left instead of cramming at the end.
- Tick a task off as you finish it. The progress bar fills up and shows how much of your plan is done.
- Tasks past their due date and not yet done are flagged overdue, and tasks due today are highlighted so you know what to focus on now.
How the Planner Keeps You on Track
Each task is compared against today's date: if the due date has passed and the task is not done, it is flagged overdue so it does not slip quietly past you. Tasks due today are highlighted, so the first thing you see is what matters right now.
The progress bar is the share of tasks you have ticked done — 5 of 9 means a little over half. It is a simple read of how much of your plan is behind you, independent of how many days are left.

Where is my exam and task list saved?
Only in your browser, using local storage. Nothing is uploaded to a server, so your revision plan stays private to you and survives a page refresh on the same device and browser.
Can I track more than one exam at a time?
The planner focuses on one exam at a time, because splitting attention across several finals usually hurts more than it helps. When an exam is over, clear it and set the next one — your saved tasks belong to the exam you are currently viewing.
What happens when a task is overdue?
It is flagged in red with an "overdue" label, so you can see at a glance which parts of your plan slipped. You can still tick it done later or move it by editing the due date.
Will I lose my plan if I refresh the page?
No. The exam and all your tasks are saved in your browser's local storage and reappear after a refresh. They are only cleared when you remove the exam or clear your browser data.
Can I push the exam into my phone calendar?
Yes. Export to Calendar (.ics) creates a calendar file you can import into Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. The exam becomes a single event with a one-day-before reminder, so you get the alert on the device you actually carry.
